BROTHERS follows Syrian refugee Issam Hadhad as he embarks on his first ever camping trip into the Canadian wilderness with his new best friend, Frank. It's a touching story of an unexpected friendship between two people from opposite sides of the world, showing what's possible when acceptance and connection bridge a conversation.

This short film is related to the larger story of the Hadhad family of Damascus, and now Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Their chocolate factory was destroyed in the Syrian war but when they relocated to Canada, the town of Antigonish came together and helped them rebuild a new factory. More details about their story can be found in The Guardian.
